The Latta Lady Vikings handed Johnsonville a 75-33 loss in Latta on Tuesday, December 11, in Latta.
The Lady Vikings held an 11-point lead, 20-9 lead after the first quarter. At halftime Latta was led 41-19.
In the second half, Latta continued to add to the lead. At the end of the third quarter, Latta was up 56-26.
Moya McDuffie led the Lady Vikings in scoring with 23 total points. She connected for seven 2-point shots, one 3-point shot, and hit 6 free throws.
Latta’s Ri’Ana Green added 15 points of which five were 2-point baskets, one 3-point basket, and 2 free throws. The Lady Vikings’ Rayne Nolan connected for 12 points: four 2-point shots, one 3-point shot, and one free throw.
DeKhasia Green hit 5 baskets for 2-points each for a total of 10 points for Latta while Adaya Gordon hit 4 baskets for 8 points. DeAsia Delrey added 5 points, and Diasha Burdsall added 2 points to Latta’s score.
Latta committed 4 team fouls in the first half, and 6 team fouls in the second half.
Ny’Asia Graham led Johnsonville with 16 points, and Nya Verner added 5 points. Tanyia Timmons connected for a 3-point shot while, Jennifer Lewis, Kirby Blakely, Kiara Wright, and Brooks Eaddy each contributed to points.
