Four New Members Named To McLeod Community Advisory Board

McLeod Medical Center Dillon is pleased to announce four new members to the hospital’s Community Advisory Board.
Shirleen Lewis, Executive Director of Dillon County First Steps, Johnnie Luehrs, President of the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce, Robby Roberson, Vice President of East Coast Distribution at Harbor Freight Tools, and Annie Smith, Director of the Dillon County Boys and Girls Youth Center have all joined the board.
Janette Dupree, Municipal Court Judge for Latta, SC, will serve as Chair.
The Community Advisory Board also includes Rodney Berry, Dr. John Carmichael, Linda Dutton, Donna Edwards, Larry Floyd, Ja-Novice Greene-Richardson, Ellen Jordan, Marianne Lewis Leggett, Billy Massengale, Mike Reaves, Janet Sherman, Don Stout, Famon Whitfield III, Dr. Daniel Walters, and Marie Wolfe.
Moses Heyward, James McRae, Pat Townsend and Tonny McNeil have completed their service on the board.
The advisory board includes community leaders from the McLeod Dillon service area. In addition to the advisory board members, Dr. Benjamin Mitchell, McLeod Dillon Chief of Staff, Jan Austin, McLeod Dillon Auxiliary President, John Braddy, McLeod Health Board of Trustees and Joan Ervin, McLeod Dillon Administrator, serve as ex-officio members. The Community Advisory Board members review strategic issues and challenges facing the hospital, the health care industry and the surrounding communities. Members offer advice and recommendations to the McLeod Dillon Administration.
With a strong history in the Dillon community since 1943, McLeod Dillon has continued to grow and expand to serve residents of Dillon (SC) and Robeson (NC) counties with excellence in patient care. The Joint Commission accredited medical center employs 350 and has the strength of 100 physicians on its medical staff. McLeod Dillon offers general and orthopedic surgery, women’s services, emergency services, intensive care, rehabilitative services and cardiac rehabilitation. Investments in state of the art technology to improve patient care have included MRI, digital mammography, 4D ultrasounds, CT Scans and nuclear and vascular studies.
