Vikings Win Over North Charleston

The Latta Vikings varsity football team advanced to the second round of the Class 2A payoffs with a 43-12 win over North Charleston on Friday, Nov. 3, at North Charleston.
The Vikings’ Dylan Brewer completed 14 of 20 attempted passes for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. He also garnered 56 yards on 7 carries.
Deonte Stanley had 5 receptions for 59 yards and scored 2 touchdowns and also had 3 tackles in the game while Kendall Moultrie caught 6 passes for 62 yards and a touchdown plus he also had 5 tackles, 1 interception, and rushed for 29 yards and a touchdown on 5 carries.
Brandon Hayes picked up 60 yards on 12 carries, had 1 tackle, and 1 interception for Latta.
The Vikings’ Darius McRae grabbed 2 passes for 24 yards, carried the football 6 times for 60 yards, and had 1 interception while J. R. McClam picked up 33 yards on 1 carry.
Chandler Nolan picked up 48 yards and a touchdown on 6 carries, had 7 tackles, and1 sack for the Vikings.
Dylan Carter tacked on 40 yards on carries and had 3 tackles, and Jackson Powers picked up 3 yards on 1 carry for Latta.
Jamarcus Legette scored 1 touchdown on 2 carries for 12 yards.
Chandler Mathews had 11 tackles, 1 sack, 1FF, and 1 FR in the win for the Vikings while Jay Bailey and Mikey Dotson each had 8 tackles and 2 sacks.
Kiese Blake added another 7 tackles, and Gavin McCrae had 6 tackles and 1 sack while Trey Anderson tacked on another 3 tackles in the win.
Hayden Graham added 2 tackles, and John Malcolm George had 1 tackle for the Vikings.
Latta is 7-4 for the season.
