Gators Hand Trojans A Loss

The Lake View Wild Gators handed the Green Sea Floyds Trojans a 38-22 loss in Lake View on Friday, September 29.
Lake View’s De’Ante Bridget passed for 244 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Jalik Roberts was on the receiving end for 189 yards and 3 touchdowns plus he also rushed for a touchdown for Lake View.
Green Sea Floyds got on the scoreboard first with 8:11 remaining in the first quarter. The PAT was no good.
The Wild Gators were forced to punt after not being able to pick up a first down.
The Trojans were unable to move the ball, and the Wild Gators took over. After a long pass to Deonte Roberts and a nice run by Benji Kelley, De’Ante Bridget carried the ball in for the first score for Lake View on the evening with only 1 minute remaining in the first quarter to knot the game at 6. The 2-point conversion failed.
With 11:04 remaining in the second quarter, De’Ante Bridget threw a long pass to Deonte Roberts who carried it in for 6 points to give Lake View the first lead of the game. Bridget also threw 1 in for the 2-point conversion.
On Green Sea Floyds next possession, #1 carried several Lake View players with him and picked up a first down. The Trojans managed another first down before being forced to punt.
With 1:53 remaining in the first half, Bridget threw another strike to Deonte Roberts for 6 points. The 2-point conversion failed. Lake View now led 20-6 and that score held up until halftime.
At halftime, Brianna Wheeler was crowned Homecoming Queen. Holly White was the first runner-up, and Caroline Arnette was the second runner-up.
The Wild Gators took the opening kick-off to begin the third quarter and managed to score with a touchdown pass to #1 with 9:06 remaining in the third quarter. The 2-point conversion failed. Lake View led 26-6.
The Trojans drove all the way to the 3-yard line but were unable to score, and Lake View took over on downs.
Jordan King came in as quarterback in the third quarter.
Benji Kelley for Lake View carried the ball in for the next score to give Lake View a 32-6 lead over Green Sea Floyds.
Lake View added another touchdown but the 2-point conversion failed.
The Trojans added 2 touchdowns and two 2-point conversions in the fourth quarter to close the score 38-22.
Lake View will travel to East Clarendon on Friday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m.
