Lady Wildcats Cruise To 8-1 Victory Over Waccamaw

The Dillon Lady Wildcats cruised to an 8-1 victory over Waccamaw in a varsity softball game played Tuesday, March 14, in Dillon.
Tori Grimsley picked up the win for the Lady Wildcats while pitching 2 innings. She struck out 4.
Telasara was tagged with the loss for Waccamaw. She pitched 6 innings  and allowed 12 hits, 8 runs of which 7 were earned, walked 10, and struck out 1.
Dillon managed 4 runs in the top of the first inning and added 2 in the top of the second,  and 2 more runs in the top of the third while holding Waccamaw to only 1 run scored in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Lady Wildcats committed only 1 error while Waccamaw had 4 errors.
Auh’Kieria Smiling led the Lady ‘Cats with 3 hits in 3 at-bats with 2 rbi in the win. Brittany Miller was also perfect at the plate with 2 hits and 2 rbi in only 2 at-bats while Tori Grimsley picked up 3 hits and 2 rbi in 4 at-bats. Johnna Rogers picked up 2 rbi in one hit in 2 at-bats.
Dillon is 6-1 for the season and 1-0 in Region 6-3A.
The Dillon Lady Wildcats will travel to Loris tonight, Thursday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m.
