Latta’s 10 & Under Dixie Angels and Dillon’s 8 & Under Dixie Darlings won state titles on Wednesday afternoon in Dixie Softball action.
Latta defeated Westminster 7-2 on Wednesday to claim the state title. The Latta Angels went undefeated in the tournament and will advance to the World Series in Monroe, Louisiana. Latta will open the World Series against the winning team from Tennessee.
The Dillon Darlings also earned a 4-2 win over Aynor in the 8U tournament to claim the state title. Dillon will also advance to the World Series in Monroe and will face the winning team from Mississippi.
Both World Series tournaments are set to begin on Saturday, August 1.
