The Dillon All-Stars defeated Latta but fell to Delmae in the 9- and 10-year old Dixie Youth District 10 tournament.
Dillon and Latta were set to face each other last Thursday but the game was interrupted due to rain. The game resumed on Monday with Dillon defeating Latta 8-4. Jacob English led Dillon with a three-run homer.
Dillon advanced to take on Delmae for the district title. After two scoreless innings, Delmae picked up two runs in the third, two runs in the fourth, and one run in the fifth for a 5-0 lead.
Zack Hunt hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth for the final score of 5-1 as Delmae claimed the district title.
Delmae will advance to the state tournament in Clemson, SC, on July 17.
