SCJGA Summer Tour Stops at Lake City

The Pee Dee Chapter of the South Carolina Junior Golf Association continued their Hootie & the Blowfish Summer Tour on Thursday, June 18, at Lake City Country Club.

Cayleigh Jane Goff earned a 46 to lead the girls 7-9 division, followed by Hannah Palmer with a 63 and Hannah-Marie McKay with a 69.

Dillon’s Brenna Miller finished second in the girls 10-12 with a 57, one point behind Anna Grace Smith of Florence. Jennifer Rials and Emma Hunt tied for third, each shooting a 58.

In the girls 13-18, Kiana Baker earned a 92 and Ashley Miller shot a 114. Shino Sonoda did not finish.

In the boys’ divisions, Chase Broach shot a 25 to lead the boys 7-9, followed by Ellis June with a 34 and Thomas Welch with a 38.

In the 10-12 division, Noah Dangerfield shot a 41 to lead the field with Jay Smith, Tristen McKay, and Takeshi Sonoda each shooting a 42 for a three-way tie in second. McKay received the points.

Cameron McLeod took fifth with a 43, followed by Pake June, 50; Drew Jeffords, 58; Clay Cates, 63; Kaiden Shaffer, 64; and Landen Seiffert finished with a 67.

In the boys 13-14, Rylee Goff shot a 78 to lead, followed by James Potter with an 81, Stone Godbold, 84, and Cameron Mills, 86. Dillon’s Ryan Stephens joined the division in fifth place with an 88, and Lake View’s Dylan Rogers shot an 89 for sixth place.

William Phipps took seventh with a 92, followed by Michael Hobbs, 94; Noah Mims, 96; Parker Kirven, 98; William Reynolds, 101; Dylan Berg, 107; and Brock Patterson, 108. Will Epps, Wilson Long, and Matthew Lamb each shot a 114 to tie for the 14th spot. Andy Calcutta earned a 116, Luke Parrott shot a 117, and John Matthews rounded out the field with a 126.

In the 15-18 division, Max Holcombe shot a 77 for first place, and Harrison Breeden and Christian Owens tied for second at 79 with Owens earning the points. Luke Freeman finished fourth with an 81 and JB Muller took fifth at 83. Zachary Owens and Wilson Josey tied for sixth with a 90; Justin Matthews shot a 95; and Will Matthews finished with a 103.

The tour’s next stop was scheduled for today at Governor’s Run in Lamar, SC. On Wednesday, the junior golfers will be at the Country Club of South Carolina in Florence before taking a break for the July 4th holiday.
