A Political Slip Or A Political Slant

A Political Slip Or A Political Slant
To The Editor:
Can someone please tell me where in the Qur’an it teaches Peace? It teaches peace alright, peace to those who agree with them, I don’t know about peace for everyone else. I can sure tell you where it commands its followers to kill; kill anyone that doesn’t believe in their God. But don’t believe me, and don’t believe some high-ranking political representative of our people either, rather look at this stuff from this supposed peaceful teaching and see just what the Qur’an actually says. Determine the truth for yourselves!
Surra 48:25
(25) Muslims are harsh against the unbelievers, merciful to one another.
Surra 9:123
(123) Ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers.
Surra 47:4
(4) When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads, and when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly.
Surra 66:9
(9) Prophet! Make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal sternly with them. Hell shall be their home, evil their fate.
Quran 8:12
(12) Fight them so that Allah may punish them at your hands, and put them to shame. (verse cited in Newsweek 2/11/02)
Does any of these text from the Qur’an sound like peaceful teaching that some of our highest leaders in public office just spoke of today? Now I’m not as polished nor am I heavily educated, but the American Exceptionalism that I grew up in gave me the basic ability as well as the basic right to be allowed to use common sense to in the least be able to read for myself and conclude facts from fiction.
I believe that there are those whom live among us that just don’t know any better. There are people around us that either grew up in this religious system and or whom just fall prey to whatsoever their political heroes say. I believe it our duty as Americans to do our best to bring truth to light, not to add even more shadows to darkness. Those of us who choose to do our duty should not do so in ignorance. Let us do so in the full knowledge of the depth of what we are truly facing. We are seeing seemingly more and more each day the depth of evil that those whom follow these teachings to the extreme are capable.
Don’t be fooled by what anyone says no matter of their political title. Sure we are to show those in authority respect and certainly we are to pray for them and the choices that they make. Our leaders need our prayers, our lord commands of us to pray for them. But we are commanded just as much from our holy word, The Holy Bible, to study to show ourselves approved so that we might not be fooled by the wiles of the devil. When we look for it, we should be able to recognize wolves even when we see them dressed up in sheep’s clothing. I will be 46-years old next month on October 22nd, 2014, I have yet to see a peach tree yielding bananas. Just take a look at the fruit and it will reveal the root every time. If we know what to look for we can see the difference in a slip from a slant.
Now I believe that every man should often deserve consideration for a pass at a slip, for we all know to err is human, we all fail, we all fall. But a political leader not making a slip but is in question of having rather deliberately erected a slant of national deception should be greatly examined.
The most important statement that I wish to make here is this. Let us be certain regardless of what is being suggested by anyone, that those whom say they come in peace are not going to ultimately send us out in pieces.
