DHS Implements Leadership, Lunch And Learn

During the 2013-2014 school year Dillon High School was awarded the Palmetto Gold for academic achievement by the S.C. Department of Education.
In an effort to continue making strides in academic excellence, during the 2014-2015 school year DHS will implement Leadership, Lunch and Learn.
This initiative is designed to assist students who are failing or near failing in meeting the rigorous expectations set at Dillon High School.
On September 9, 2014 all students scoring below 77 (C) in English, Math, Science and Social Studies were required to meet with a certified teacher at lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
During this time, students will work on assignments provided by their teachers.
The goal of this initiative is to reduce the number of failures, improve students’ grades and create a culture where success is the only option.
In order to maximize the time allotted for work, lunch will be delivered to the classroom.
Leadership, Lunch & Learn is another example of how DHS is helping students excel in academics.
