Charles Scott Hit All Of The Nails Right On The Head

To The Editor:
Charles Scott, you hit all of the nails right on the head. I have heard so much complaining and whining about what our city is doing to provide a “QUALITY OF LIFE” for our community. Your article says it all. We have so much to be thankful for, and I am proud of our leaders who are trying to be objective and positive.
I am a little tired of reading about all the concerns that our leaders have about what should be done, but all they do is complain and talk and do nothing. If our elected officials cannot see the whole picture of what to do when they get into office and this picture should be for the betterment of our community, then they should just step down.
No, I don’t play golf, but I am glad it is there for those who do enjoy playing.
The Wellness Center is a great asset to our community and the entire county. How many of the complainers go out to the Wellness Center for the Thanksgiving Service? How many take advantage of the Holiday and Yard Sales that are planned each year, the gym that is available, or the walking routes, both indoor and outdoor. Most recently the Antique Appraisal Fair was held at the Wellness Center. There are Health Fairs held each year and rooms available for whatever meetings are needed. We are ALIVE ON I-95. Our City of Dillon Recreation is second to none. Thank you, Charles, for your great article. Everything that is offered by the city may not be for every person, but it is there IF YOU WANT TO BE PART OF OUR COMMUNITY.
