Loren Inman

Funeral services for Loren Inman were held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at New Canaan A.M.E. Church of Dillon, S.C., at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Harold Moody delivered the home going message.
Loren Inman, daughter of the late Lemar and Flora Townsend Goings, was born November 15, 1924 in Robeson County, N.C. She departed this life on Thursday, November 10, 2011 in Marion Regional Hospital, Marion, S.C. She attended the Roberson County public school in North Carolina. She never worked outside the home; she was the “farmer’s wife” and took pride in her status.
Loren Inman came to Christ early, and joined the Canaan A.M.E. Church family. With this family she worked tirelessly until her health began to decline, serving on the culinary committee and as a member of the senior choir. Loren was not only a great cook, but she possessed a beautiful voice. Loren was united in Holy Matrimony to Marvin, Sunny Boy, Inman for 65 years, and to this union 2 children were born.
She is survived by daughters Eloise (James C.) McRae of Dillon, SC and Valentine Inman of Fayetteville, NC; three grandchildren: Lolita Genell Moser of Bennettsville, SC, James Kenneth McRae of Latta, SC, Jevonne Kimonia McRae of Clemmons, NC; five great grandchildren, Jason McRae, Quadre Inman, Jalea Richardson, Taylor McRae, and Nia McRae, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
