Mr. Bobby Carlyle King, Sr., 81, husband of Betty Jo “Joby” Smith King, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his home.
Mr. King was born April 5, 1930 in Dillon County, a son of the late Murphy and Tempie Sanderson King. He retired from Matthew Auto Service as the service manager.
Mr. King was a US Army veteran and a member of Mullins First Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. King in addition to his wife of the home are: his Children: Carla Jo Privette and her husband Billy of Southport, N.C., Donna Nobles and her husband Bobby of Mullins and Jonathan King and his wife Samantha of Mullins; 7 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren; a Brother: Dean King of Dillon; and 3 Sisters: Annette Richardson of Summerville, Bonnie Hamilton of Dillon and Betty Lou Edwards of Mullins.
Mr. King was predeceased by a son, Bobby Carlyle King, Jr. and a sister, Jeanette Powers.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 11 in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Kirkland officiating.
The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
