The Dillon County Council approved the following recreation requests at the July meeting:
-$50 from Macio Williamson’s account for the St. Matthew AME Church Sr. Choir 36th anniversary.
-$100 from Harold Moody’s account for the 12U Ponytails trip to the Softball World Series.
-$50 from Archie Scott’s account for the Gospel Truth Church of Jesus Christ’s youth choir.
-$85 from Archie Scott’s account to fund a port-a-john for the Dillon Warriors Softball team (home field behind Stewart Heights)
At the August meeting, the following requests were approved:
-$140.40 from Bobby Moody’s account for two dozen softballs for Fork softball.
-$100 for 2 port-a-johns from Andrew Graves account for the Minturn reunion.
