Dillon – Charles Henry Calder, 66, died in McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, SC, July 16, 2011. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 19, 2011 in Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Latta, SC with burial in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be From 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, July 18, 2011 in Kannaday Funeral Home in Latta.
Mr. Calder was born in Dillon County, November 15, 1945, the son of the late Mary Kirby and William Stonewall Calder. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was involved with Law Enforcement as a FEMA Fraud Investigator and was later employed with Security at South Of The Border.
He is survived by Faye Turner of Fairmont, NC; a son, Jeffery Calder of Wilmington, NC; a daughter, Tracy Calder of Wilmington, NC; a sister, Bernice Maynor of Latta, SC; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Lamar, Buddy, and Sonny Calder; and two sisters Doris Hayes and Louise Cook.
