Services for Omega “Mickey” McElroy will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McElroy, 79, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Hopewell, Virginia, March 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Estabrook Perkins and Evelyn Worth Perkins. She was the widow of the late James McElroy, and was a member of Pyerian Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, James McElroy, Mary Bigley, and Joseph McElroy, all of Youngstown, OH; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Romero of Dumphries, VA; brother, David Perkins of Youngstown, OH; friend, Doris Russell of Dillon.
