A serious wreck occurred in Latta on Wednesday afternoon in the area of 700 West Main Street. A car and a truck apparently hit head on.

Dillon Rescue members came to assist Latta and had to cut at least one of the passengers from the car. Latta police officers were still trying to sort out the details of the wreck at the time of this posting. The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office was also on the scene. No further details were available at the time of this posting.
UPDATE: The Herald has been informed that the person in the truck was Jimmy Lee Strickland, Jr., and the people in the car were Betty and Horace Willoughby.[slide]
