Services for Gladys Marie Poston will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Beulah Baptist Church in Hamer with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mrs. Poston, 72, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at her residence.
Born in Dillon County, October 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Fred Pate McKenzie and Etheleen Snead McKenzie. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Poston of Florence; her children, Howard (Kay) Elvington of Florence, Dennis Elvington of Florence, Kim Lynch of Raleigh, NC, Katrina Barnes of Greer, SC, and Benny (Lisa) Elvington of Florence; her sisters, Elease Williamson, Maxine McKenzie, Margaret Polson, Barbara Graham, Janice Hardwick, Elsie Hooks, Sarah Rabon, and Laura Caulder; her brothers, Bryan McKenzie, Eugene McKenzie, Carey McKenzie, and Clyde McKenzie; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
