Pauline Hyatt McKenzie, 86, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at the Brian Center in Lincolnton, NC.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, October 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mack Hyatt and Elizabeth Jackson Hyatt. She was the widow of the late Rufus McKenzie, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Joyce McKenzie Petts (Tom Hill) of Norfolk, VA, J.R. McKenzie (Margaret), Edward Legrande McKenzie (Johnsie) all of Dillon; daughter-in-law, Joan McKenzie of Lake View; son-in-law, Joe Johnson of Lincolnton, NC; special niece, Mary Hyatt Jiles of Pennsylvania; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 2 step great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny McKenzie; and daughter, Linda Johnson.
