Dillon – Rosalee Huggins Lemmond, 84, died in the Pines Nursing Home Friday, December 10, 2010. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2010 at Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC with entombment in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mrs. Lemmond was born August 22, 1926 in Marietta, NC, the daughter of the late Ethel Leola Huggins and Grady Neil Huggins. She was the widow of Edward Maurice “Nick” Lemmond. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dillon, SC. She was a Registered Nurse and was the founder and previous Owner and Administrator of the Pines Nursing Home.
She is survived by two sons, Maurice Lemmond of Florence and Steve (Liz) Lemmond of Columbia, SC, one daughter, Rosemary (John) Whittington of Rowland, NC, eight grandchildren, Crystal Whittington (husband Ryan Ford), Karen Whittington, Emily Lemmond, Sarah Lemmond, Jennifer Lemmond, Amanda Lemmond, Jonathan Lemmond, and Kelsey Lemmond, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Doretha Cole of North Myrtle Beach, SC. She was predeceased by her sister Marie Sealey.
