Editorial: It’s Important To Have A Plan

Firemen tell you that you need a plan. Law enforcement officials tell you that you need a plan. Disaster officials tell you that you need a plan. You never know when the unexpected will happen.
No doubt when an armed, irate man entered Dillon Family Medicine on Thursday, the office staff must have been glad that they had an imminent danger evacuation plan that allowed patients and staff to get out of the building in a safe and orderly manner.
You never know when a disaster or a crisis may strike. It’s better to plan ahead now than find yourself wondering what you will do when a disaster strikes. That way tragedy can be avoided.
The staff of Dillon Family Medicine are to be commended for having a plan and knowing how to execute it when a crisis occurred.
The situation could have been much different without their stellar performance.
