City Attorney Jack McInnis contacted the Attorney General’s Office to get an opinion on the use of I-Traffic. I-Traffic offers traffic enforcement services on I-95. McInnis informed the council that two opinions had been rendered. In essence, they both said that photographic/video camera evidence may not be used in assisting a police officer unless it was an emergency situation. McInnis said that I-Traffic services were not authorized or endorsed by legislation. (Source: City of Dillon October Minutes)
