Services for James Earl Davis, Jr. were held 4:00 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hickory Grove Church Cemetery.
Mr. Davis, 67, died Friday, October 8, 2010 at his residence.
Born in Polkton, NC, November 10, 1942, he was the son of the late James Earl Davis, Sr. and Ola Beatrice Harrington Davis. He attended Hickory Grove Methodist Church, and was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Davis of Clio; children, Robin Strickland of Clarkton, NC, Phylliss (Shorty) Poston of Marion, Danielle Barnes of Rowland, NC, James Monroe Parrott, and Thomas Earl Parrott, both of Dillon; sister, Donna Davis of Myrtle Beach; niece, Angel Marie Davis of Gainsville, GA; aunts, Rachel Hinson, Evelyn Curlee, Mildred Williams, Blondell Davis, and Rossie Thomas; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Harrell Davis.
