Local Woman Killed In Wreck

A local woman was killed in a wreck on Monday.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at 12:24 p.m. on Oakland Road.
A 2002 Buick was traveling north on Oakland Road. The other vehicle, a 1998 Ford F-150 pick-up, was traveling south on Oakland Road.
Trooper Sonny Collins of the S.C.  Highway Patrol said the pick-up crossed the center line and struck the Buick head-on causing the driver of the Buick  to be killed.  Trooper Collins said that the driver of  the Buick was not wearing a seatbelt. The 37-year-old driver of the truck was not wearing a seatbelt and was transported to the Dillon hospital.
The passenger of the truck was wearing a seatbelt and was also transported to the hospital.
No charges have been filed by the SCHP as the investigation is ongoing.
The driver of the Buick has been identified as 78-year-old Sylvia Grimsley, the widow of the late Dillon County coroner Dan Grimsley.  Graveside services for Grimsley will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Greenlawn Cemetery.  Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
