FBC Lydia Impact Team Donates Handmade Blankets To Hospital

The Lydia Impact Team of Dillon First Baptist Church recently donated 25 hand-made baby blankets to McLeod Medical Center Dillon.
The blankets will be given to newborn babies. According to Jamie Arnette, Associate Pastor of Education at Dillon First Baptist, “The Lydia Impact Team consists of a group of dedicated ladies who meet each Sunday evening at 5:00 PM at Dillon First Baptist to crochet baby blankets for Burkina Faso (West Africa), Honduras, and McLeod.
Many of these women work diligently on Sunday evenings, and those who are unable to attend work from home to crochet the blankets. Numerous baby blankets have already been shipped to Burkina Faso in January and Honduras in February. We consider it a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ for these precious babies that have been created in the image of God.” Margaret Church represented the Lydia Impact Team in presenting the blankets, along with Associate Pastor of Education, Jamie Arnette. Attached to every blanket is the following statement and Bible verse:
Because you continue to be special to Dillon, First Baptist Church, the Lydia Impact Team hand-made this blanket especially for you as reminder that God is always present with you.
For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:13-14)
