Zetas Recognized At National Convention

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority of Marion-Dillon Counties was recognized at the national convention in Washington, DC.   The Zetas placed second for the National ZHOPE Community Award.   
ZHOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) involves community oriented projects  with a strong emphasis on healthcare.  
The Marion-Dillon Zetas have placed number one in the state of South Carolina for the last five years.  During the last eight years they have placed in the top three in the Southeastern Region and on the National Level.
The Zeta Organizational Leadership (ZOL) Committee confirmed that all certification requirements had been completed and it was recommended that Victoria Belin and Delores J. Wilson be presented certification certificates and pins.  The certification  involved but was not limited to developing and planning community activities, researching and, writing articles and presenting a power point on Hazing and Leadership.  
Webinars and teleconferences were used the share in hours of training and sharing time.
Miss Chakalah Crawford was recognized and featured in a picture on the national website for being a charter member of the Alpha Alpha  Lambda Zeta Chapter in the Middle East.  Crawford is the daughter of Zeta Clotella Davis Crawford and the late Lt. Colonel Aubrey W. Crawford, granddaughter of Zeta Virginia F. Davis, and the niece of Zeta Olgeretta D. White.
The Zetas have been a very hard working group of community minded women in the area since its chapter was chartered in 1983.
