The Dillon Wildcats tennis team fell 7-0 to Marion on Wednesday, March 20.
The Swamp Foxes swept every match with the exception of one set in doubles action.
In singles, Tyler Williams of Marion defeated Dillon’s Jacob Stagg 6-4, 6-2; Matt Williams defeated Dillon’s D-Ohndre Owens 6-0, 6-3; Z. Huang defeated Dillon’s Darryl Miller 6-1, 6-0; Anunay Pulukuri defeated Dillon’s Carlton Graham 7-6, 6-3; and Justin Turner defeated Dillon’s Jontee Washington 6-4, 6-1.
In doubles, Tyler Williams and Matt Williams defeated Dillon’s Jacob Stagg and Darryl Miller 6-1, 6-2, and Gabriel Thomas and Brandon Banders defeated Dillon’s Eriq Bruce and Myers Hamer 5-7, 7-5, and 10-6.
Dillon was scheduled to face Darlington and Green Sea-Floyds earlier this week and was scheduled to be at Mullins on Wednesday for their last match before spring break. The Wildcats will travel to Green Sea-Floyds on Tuesday, April 9.
