First Baptist Christmas Eve Candlelight Service And Nativity (video)

Dillon First Baptist Church held their annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Saturday, December 24 at 5 p.m.
“You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.”—Luke1: 31-32
The prelude to worship was by Mrs. Katharine Moody.
The Call to Worship was “Christmas Time with Joy to the World” by the Children’s Choir.
The congregation sang the hymn, “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”
The pastor, Rev. Dickie Cullum, greeted everyone before being treated to a message in song, “Infinite Lord,” by the Ladies Trio.
The Paul Freel Family performed the lighting of the Christ candle.
The Praise Band/Team performed “Glorious Day” as the song of worship.
Cecelia Mescia recited the Christmas story from Luke 2: 1-20 for the scripture reading.
The congregation sang the hymn, “Joy To The World! THe Lord is Come.”
The Celebration choir with soloist Cindy Causey sang “Christ Child” as a choral praise.
Pastor Dickie Cullum gave an inspiring Christmas meditation.
Katharine Moody sang “Be Born In Me” for a message in song.
The entire congregation participated in the lighting of the candles followed by the singing of “Silent Night, Holy Night” and “Here I Am To Worship.”
The benediction was “Sovereign Lord, as your have promised, You may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation.”—Luke 2:29-30.
“Joy To the World” served as the parting chorus.
As everyone left, there was a live nativity outside of the church.
This was a great way to spend part of Christmas Eve in the Lord’s house.
First Baptist Church is located at 400 N. Fourth Avenue, Dillon.
