Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators shut out the Marion Swamp Foxes 10-0 on Wednesday night in Lake View.
Lake View scored five runs in the first and five runs in the third to claim the 10-0 win. The Gators had 10 hits and two errors in the game, while Marion had only one hit and five errors.
Morgan Herlong picked up the win, pitching five innings and allowing only one hit and one walk while striking out six.
Marissa Tyndall took the loss for Marion, pitching four innings and allowing 10 hits, 10 runs, 10 earned runs, and three walks, striking out three.
Kayce Wong went 2-for-2 with three RBIs to lead Lake View, and Chelsea Spivey went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
The Lady Wild Gators are n ow 4-8 overall and 1-3 in Region 8A.
