East Clarendon’s Lady Wolverines avenged their season-opener loss to Lake View with a 60-30 win over the Lady Wild Gators in East Clarendon on Tuesday night.
It was the first win for the Wolverines, who fell 50-30 to Lake View in the opening game of the season on December 4, 2013.
Lake View’s Jasmine Ford scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Lady Gators in the effort, with Olivia McDaniels adding five, Diayah Williams earning four, and Chelsea Williams scoring one.
Ivory Barnes led East Clarendon with 18 points and Ty’Quasha Kennedy added 15 in the win. Leslie Altman scored 11, and LaDiamond Shaw and Kateria Rose each added eight points for the Lady Wolverines.
East Clarendon improved to 1-5 while Lake View slipped to 5-3.
Lake View will host Aynor this Friday, January 10, at 6:00 p.m. in a non-conference game before opening region play on Tuesday, January 14, at home against Johnsonville. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
