Lady Gators Earn Wins But Fall to Raiders

Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators earned wins over Johnsonville and Creek Bridge last week before falling to Hannah-Pamplico on Saturday in girls varsity basketball.

The Lady Gators traveled to Johnsonville on Tuesday and defeated the Flashes 48-45.

Olivia McDaniel scored 25 points to lead Lake View and Jasmine Ford added 12, with Kayla Page earning five and Diayah Williams and Toni Nash each contributing two.

Crystal Williams led Johnsonville with a game-high 27 points. Cayley Gunter added 8; Annsley Mace, 4; Tiffany Small, 3; Madeline Coles, 2; and Kayla Ard, 1.

On Friday, Lake View hosted Creek Bridge and earned a 50-38 win over the Lady Warriors.

Olivia McDaniel again led the Lady Gators with a game-high 25 points and Jasmine Ford earned 14 with Kayla Page adding seven and Desiree Strickland and Diayah Williams each scoring two.

Creek Bridge was led by Shayla Graves with 13 points and Whitney Green and Brittany Brock with eight each. Danielle Gause added five, and Jade Gause and Rion Griffin each earned two.

On Saturday, Lake View hosted Hannah-Pamplico but fell 56-27 to the Lady Raiders.

Hannah-Pamplico took a 16-2 lead in the first quarter and held a 26-12 lead at the half. The Raiders outscored the Gators 30-15 in the second half to secure the win.

Jazaria Eaddy scored a game-high 19 points to lead the Raiders and Talicia Murphy and Emily Pyett each earned 11 in the win. Kadasia Self scored nine, Marquettea Timmons earned four, and Haley Ard added two for the Raiders.

Jasmine Ford led Lake View with a team-high 10 points and Olivia McDaniel earned seven. Desiree Strickland added four, Kayla Page scored three, and Diayah Williams earned two in the effort.

Lake View is now 10-7 overall and 4-4 in Region 8A, while Hannah-Pamplico is now 9-7 and 7-1. The Lady Raiders lead the region with Latta just behind at 6-1 and Lake View in third.

The Lady Gators were scheduled to host Green Sea Floyds this week and to travel to Latta to wrap up the regular season.
