Lady Gators Earn 43-42 Win Over Hannah-Pamplico

After falling 66-58 to the Johnsonville Flashes on Tuesday, Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators made up for it with a 43-42 win over Hannah-Pamplico on Friday.

Hannah-Pamplico took a 14-10 lead in the first quarter, but Lake View outscored the Lady Raiders 15-11 in the second to tie the score at 25 at the half. The Raiders took the lead with a 13-8 third quarter, but Lake View made up the deficit by going 10-4 in the fourth. With the score tied 42-42 in the fourth, Diayah Williams sank a free throw with five seconds remaining to give Lake View the win.

Tranya Ford led Lake View with 14 points with Kayla Sanderson adding 10 and Olivia McDaniel scoring seven. Jasmine Ford added five, Kayla Page scored four, and Desiree Strickland earned two. The game-winning free throw from Diayah Williams was her only point of the night.

Pyett led Hannah-Pamplico with a game-high 17 pints. Jordan added 8; Murphy, 6; J. Eaddy, 3; and Ard, T. Eaddy, Timmons, and Fleming each added two points for the Raiders.

In Tuesday’s loss to Johnsonville, Olivia McDaniel led the Wild Gators with 27 points and Jasmine Ford added 15. Kayla Sanderson scored five points in the loss, and Desiree Strickland and Diayah Williams each added four, with Junetta Strickland earning three.

The Lady Gator’s record is now 2-6 overall and 1-1 in Region 8A.

The Wild Gators are scheduled to host Creek Bridge tonight at 6:00 p.m. and will travel to face Latta’s Lady Vikings on Friday. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
