JV Lady Gators Split Opening Games

Lake View’s junior varsity Lady Wild Gators dropped both games against Latta but defeated Hannah-Pamplico in a double-header for a 2-2 record so far this season.

The Lady Gators played the JV Lady Vikings on March 7 and fell 15-5 in game one and 9-8 in game two of the double-header.

In game one, Lake View’s Marissa Tyndall took the loss on the mound for Lake View, giving up 10 hits and three walks with five outs. Latta’s Kurstin Hopkins got the win with eight hits, one walk, and four outs.

Stacey Humphrey and Marissa Tyndall led the Lady Gators at bat, each going 2-for-3 with a RBI.
Latta was led by Camryn Sawyer who went 3-for-4 with a RBI and Courtney Bracey who was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

In game two, Lake View’s Tiffany Parker took the loss, giving up five hits and one walk with three outs. Latta’s Hopkins was again the winning pitcher, throwing for 10 hits, seven outs, and two walks.

Stacey Humprey led Lake View at bat, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Latta’s Brandy Williams led the Vikings at 1-for-3 with a RBI.

On Monday, March 11, Lake View hosted Hannah-Pamplico and won 8-2 and 5-4 in the double-header.

In game one, Tyndall picked up the win for Lake View with four hits, three walks and two outs. Hannah-Pamplico’s R. Boyle took the loss with eight hits, five outs, and two walks.

Hannah Miller led Lake View with a 2-for-2 and a RBI at bat, with Morgan Rogers going 1-for-2 with a RBI and Logan Spivey going 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

In game two, Parker earned the win for Lake View with five hits, five walks, and two outs. Boyle took the loss for Hannah-Pamplico with four hits, three walks, two hit by pitch, and one out.

Kayla Page went 1-for-1 at bat for the Gators and Parker went 1-for-2 with two RBIs.

Boyle went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Hannah-Pamplico and B. Todd went 2-for-3.

The J.V. Lady Gators are 2-for-2 as they hit the road for the remainder of their season. On Monday, March 25, they will be at Johnsonville at 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, March 29, they will wrap the season at Dillon at 5:00 p.m. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
