Ellie Hayes To Present Voice Recital

Elliott Amanda “Ellie” Hayes, a voice student of Robin Thompson, will present a Senior Recital on Sunday, June 28 at 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Main Street United Methodist Church with a reception to follow in Asbury Hall.
Ellie is the daughter of Jackie and Mandy Hayes and the granddaughter of James McLellan, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Skinner, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hayes.
Ellie is an Honor Graduate of Dillon High School Class of 2015 where she was a member of the Beta Club, the Interact Club, President of the Anchor Club, and a varsity cheerleader for three years.
Ellie is the 2010 Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year, the 2013 Children’s Network Miracle Maker, and the recipient of the 2013 Presidential Gold Service Award and Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.
Ellie will be attending Columbia College where she is the recipient of the Columbia College Leadership Award Scholarship, Columbia College Service Award Scholarship and Columbia College Trustee Award Scholarship.
Ellie has studied voice with Robin Thompson for the past eight years.  The recital program includes the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein with selections from STATE FAIR, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, and CINDERELLA; the music of Lerner and Loewe with a selection from MY FAIR LADY; and the music of Stephen Schwartz with selections from WICKED.  Religious favorites “How You Live (Turn Up The Music)” by Cindy Morgan, and “I Can Only Imagine” by Bart Millard, and standards “Unchained Melody” by Zaret and North and “Love Me Tender” by Presley and Matson are also featured as well as “My Heart Will Go On” from TITANIC and “Let It Go” from FROZEN.
