Governor, DMV Director Announce New SC Driver’s Licenses

Gov. Mark Sanford joined Marcia Adams, Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles, to announce South Carolina’s updated Driver’s License. South Carolina hasn’t updated its Driver’s Licenses since 1994. The updated licenses adopt several features that make it extremely difficult to alter or counterfeit, will make our licenses among the most secure in the nation, and provide our state with a much-needed tool to enforce our laws on illegal immigration.
