On Saturday, July 16th, three members of the Glove and Trowel Garden Club, President-Julie Sawyer, Linda Dutton and Julie LeChette, traveled to Columbia, to the Garden Club of South Carolina’s Summer Expo.
The Adoration Quartet, a gospel, devotional, and spiritual group from Goldsboro, N.C., performed at Sardis Baptist Church on Sunday, July 24, at 6:00 p.m.
Three area residents were awarded scholarships through McLeod Dillon. Each received a $1,000 scholarship.
In partnership with the Dillon County Library, the McLeod Medical Center Dillon Volunteer Auxiliary’s “Grow with Books” Literacy Project stimulates an interest in reading at an early age.
The Yellow Jessamine Garden Club of Dillon attended The Garden Club of South Carolina’s 2016 Summer Expo at the State Farmer’s Market in Columbia, South Carolina, on Saturday, July 16. Five members were in attendance.

McCoy Chapel United Methodist Church annual Men’s Day/Father’s Day program was held on June 19. The United Methodist Men conduct the program each year.
The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Bureau of Water has issued an agricultural permit to expand an existing poultry farm and dispose of the manure. The permit becomes effective on August 10, 2016.
