The 2014 Dillon County Farm-City Week tour and luncheon was held on Monday, November 24th.

Thanksgiving Meals To Be Provided For Senior Centers

South Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture Hugh Weathers and Lt. Governor Yancey McGill announced that the South Carolina agriculture community will provide Certified South Carolina grown products for a Thanksgiving meal to 173 senior centers across the state.

These are the unofficial Dillon County results. In the County Council District Six race, some absentee ballots have been challenged. This will be taken up on Friday.

General Election Is Tuesday, Nov. 4th

The statewide general election will be held on Tuesday, November 4th. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. If you are in line at 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote. You must present a Photo ID when you arrive at the polls.

Council Approves First Reading Of Ordinance Relating To Family Child Care Homes

The Dillon County Council approved the first reading of an Ordinance Adopting and Approving Changes to Dillon County Zoning Relating to Family Child Care Homes in RU-Rural/Agriculture District Uses and RS-1 Single Family Residential District Uses.
