St. Stephens UMC To Observe Mother’s Day

The St. Stephens United Methodist Church family will observe Mother’s Day May 12, 2019 during our morning worship services at 11:00 a.m., with our very own Mrs. Jeanette Hall Jones, the speaker, to proclaim the word of God. Our theme is “Mothers, Strength, Honor, Wisdom, and Kindness.”

Mrs. Jeanette Hall Jones is native of Willington, North Carolina and since made Marion, South Carolina her home. She is the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. James L. Hall of Wilmington, N.C. Mrs. Jones studied at Allen University, New Hampshire University, Francis Marion University and the University of South Carolina. She taught high school Social Studies in Allendale, Florence counties and retired from the Marion County school system.
Mrs. Jones was an organizer/founder of several civic organizations. She is also a retired Sunday School teacher. Her service to her job was top notch as to her family and friends.
She is married to the Rev (Ret.) William A. Jones. They reside in Marion County SC. They are the parents of one son, Patrick, of Austin, Texas, grandparents of three beautiful grandchildren and Godparents to four.
She is a disciple of Jesus Christ.
