The Dillon Lady Wildcats handed the Lake City Lady Panthers a 20-0 loss in the run-ruled, 3-inning game played in Lake City on Friday, March 29.
The Lady Wildcats’ Monazia Sowells and Charlotte Sellers combined for the per 3-inning game.
Monazia Sowells picked up the win. She pitched 1 inning and allowed hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out 3.
Kinsley Hanner was charged with the loss. She pitched 2/3 inning and allowed 3 hits, 8 runs of which 6 were earned, walked 4, and struck out no one.
Dillon placed 8 runs on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning, added 7 in the second inning, and 5 in the third inning.
Dillon connected for 14 h its in the game of which Skyler McCoy had 2 homeruns and 2 rbi in 3 at-bats. Jayla Goodwin was perfect at the plate with 2 doubles and a single in 3 at-bats. Abby Bristow had a triple and 3 rbi in her 2 at-bats.
The Lady Wildcats will travel to the Cheraw Senior High School Softball Diamond for a double header beginning at 6:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 2).
