Lady Gators Get Win Over Lamar

The Lake View Wild Gators returned home on Thursday, March 28, with a 5-inning, run-ruled 15-2 win over Lamar in Lamar in varsity softball action.
The Lady Wild Gators jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Lamar managed a run in the bottom of the first inning. Lake View added 2 runs in the top of the second inning, 5 runs in the top of the third inning, and 2 runs in the top of the fourth inning. Lamar sent a runner across home in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Lake View’s Baxleigh Arnette was perfect at the plate with 3 hits and 3 rbi in 3 at-bats. Alex Elliott picked up 4 rbi on 2 its in 4 at-bats. Milashia Wheeler had 2 hits and a rbi in 4 at-bats.
Raven Locklear was the winning pitcher. She pitched 5 innings and allowed 2 hits, 2 walks, 1 hbp, and 2 runs that were not earned.
H. Anderson was charged with the loss. She pitched 3 innings and allowed 11 hits, walked 4, 1 hbp, and 13 runs of which 12 were earned.
Lake View committed 2 errors, and Lamar committed one error.
Lake View will host Green Sea Floyds today (Tuesday, April 2) for a 5:30 p.m. game.
