DILLON – Clovis Diane Spradley Wilson, 85, died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Graveside memorial services will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery in Dillon with Rev. Jamie Arnette officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Kannaday Funeral Home is assisting the family in Dillon, SC.
Mrs. Wilson was born November 29, 1933, in Darlington County, SC, the daughter of the late George F. and Carrie Lee Tiller Spradley. Diane was crowned Miss Dillon and Fairmont Tobacco Festival Queen. She also attended Limestone College. Diane married her husband, John H. Wilson on August 28, 1954, and enjoyed sixty-four years of marriage. Mrs. Wilson worked for B.C. Moore for ten years and cared for her family. Diane was a member of First Baptist Church in Dillon.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Wilson of Dillon, SC; son, John Ralph Wilson (Diane) of Irmo, SC; daughter, Tami W. Stapleton (Darryl) of Darlington, SC; sisters, Shirley “Pudgy” Walters (John Reagan) of Cummings, GA and Myra Ackerman of Georgia; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her sister, Mildred Rownd.
