South Carolina Farmers Elected To National Cotton Council Leadership Positions

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Eight South Carolina cotton industry members have been elected to leadership positions in the National Cotton Council (NCC) for 2019.
Re-elected as a NCC vice president was David Hastings, a Mauldin textile official. Elected to the NCC Board of Directors was Drake Perrow, a Cameron ginner. Jordan Lea, a Greenville merchant, and William Bowen, an Inman textile official, were re-elected as directors. Re-elected as a Board advisor was former NCC senior vice president John Maguire of Hilton Head Island.
William Bull of Cameron, and Daniel Baxley of Dillon, were re-elected as the NCC’s American Cotton Producers’ South Carolina co-chairmen. Lea was re-elected as the NCC’s South Carolina state unit chairman; James Patterson, a York cottonseed merchandiser, was elected as vice chairman; and Perrow re-elected as unit secretary.
These leaders were named at the recent 2019 NCC Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
