The Dillon Lady Wildcats picked up a 57-19 win over the visiting Lake City Lady Panthers on Friday, January 11.
The Lady Wildcats jumped out to an early 16-point lead after the first period of play. By halftime, Dillon led 29-8. After 3 periods of play Dillon was up 38-15.
Dillon’s Jykya Bell led all scorers with 30 points of which she made twelve 2-points shot, a 3-point shot, and was perfect at the charity line connecting on 3 free throws in 3 attempts. Chyna Pouncy connected on four 2-point shots and one 3-point shot to add 11 points to the scoreboard while Shantazia Gordon hit four 2-point shots. Maleah Carter, Deanna Lane, and Lucy Sellers each sank a basket.
J. Dickson led the Lady Panthers with 8 points followed by A. Brayboy with 5 points. Alford added 3 points, and S. Burgess hit a basket for 2 points. Q. Singletary sank a free throw.
Dillon committed 2 fouls in the first half and 6 fouls in the second half. Lake City committed only 1 foul in the first half and 2 fouls in the second half.
Dillon will travel to Cheraw today (Tuesday, January 15) for a 6:00 p.m. game.
