Warriors Win Over Dragons

The Dillon Christian School Warriors won 66-60 over the visiting Marlboro Academy Dragons in Dillon on Tuesday, January 15, in boys varsity basketball action.
The Dragons jumped out to an early lead. However, the Warriors did not give up and fought back to claim the victory.
Dillon Christian School’s Phillip Campbell led all scorers with 29 points including 9 of 10 free throws attempted. He also sank two 3-point baskets. Chad Dubose added 14 points capitalizing on two 2-point shots and two 3-point shots and 4 free throws.
Jason Chen added three 3-points shot and a 2-point shot for 11 points. Walt Bailey connected for 5 points while Mason Bailey added 3 points to the scoreboard. Ian Bethea and Jacob Dubose each had 2 points in the game.
Marlboro Academy’s Luke Johnson scored 18 points while Sam Poole added 16 and Will Beck added 15. Chase Williams had 5 points in the game, and Will Dawkins contributed 4 points. Devin Hardee and Josh Griggs each had 2 points.
The Dragons made 70% of the free throws they attempted while the Warriors made 58% of the ones they attempted.
The Dillon Christian School Warriors will travel today (Thursday, January 17) to Maranatha.
