Lady Warriors Defeat Lady Saints

In a hard-fought contest, the Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors handed the visiting Christian Academy Lady Saints a 56-44 loss on Tuesday, January 8.
The Lady Warriors found themselves trailing by a point, 20-19, at halftime. At the end of 3 periods of play, Dillon was up by a point, 32-31.
With 5 minutes remaining in the game, the Lady Warriors managed a 6-point lead.
Dillon Christian School’s Anna Thompson connected on 7 of 8 free throw attempts, hit two 2-point baskets, and connected for a 3-point basket in the contest for a total of 14 points.
Taren Dubose also scored 14 points on which she connected on four 2-point shots, one 3-point basket, and 3 free throws. Sara Freeman connected for 11 points on four 2-point baskets and 3 free throws. Sarah Stone scored 7 points while Shayla Hunt and Taylor Britt each hit for 4 points. Lizzie Outlar also added a basket.
Christian Academy’s T. Jones led all scorers with 18 points. J. Hall contributed 14 points in the contest while A. Bumley scored 7 points. Abigail B. managed 3 points, and R. D. added 2 points.
Dillon Christian School will host Pee Dee Academy on Friday, January 11.
