Rev. Harold Cooke To Be Guest Speaker At Veterans Day Program

Rev. Harold Cooke will be the guest speaker at the Dillon County Veterans Day program on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Dillon City-County Complex.

Pastor Harold Cooke is a 1982 graduate of Dillon High School.
After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for three years (1983-1986).
During this time he served with an intermediate aviation maintenance battalion in Mannheim, Germany.
After separating from active duty, Harold joined the South Carolina Highway Patrol. He was stationed in Chesterfield County.
While serving with the highway patrol, he enlisted in the South Carolina Army National Guard with the 132nd Military Police Company, Florence, S.C. (1988-1991). He served as an MP. Their company served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm from September 1990-April 1991.
Pastor Cooke retired from the South Carolina Highway Patrol at the rank of sergeant. Afterwards, he attended Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary. He began as the pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Dillon, S.C. in April 2018. Prior to this he was the pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Mount Croghan, S.C.
Pastor Cooke is married to Tamera Sikes Cooke, Chesterfield, S.C. They recently celebrated their 31st anniversary. They have two sons and two grandchildren. He enjoys running and cycling.
