Lynn Miller Speaks At Mount Calvary Baptist Church Brotherhood Meeting

Mount Calvary Baptist Church held the monthly meeting for Brotherhood, WMU, and BYU on Monday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m. at the Mount Calvary Family Life Center.
After enjoying a delicious meal with all the trimmings and desserts combined with great fellowship, the groups dispersed to the proper locations.

Lynn Miller was the guest speaker for Brotherhood for the evening.
Miller’s heartfelt inspiring message was from Acts 27 and 28, Paul’s Fourth Shipwreck. Throughout Miller’s message he stressed that children and men of the church are the fastest growing items in the church today.
Paul’s wish was to return to Rome, Italy,
He, along with 275 other men, began the journey via ship.
God’s message to Paul was to “Be of good cheer, stay on the ship, and you will make it”.
The Angel of the Lord appeared unto Paul and informed him that all would be safe. Fear not on the ship when a bad storm appears. However, when the bad storm hit everyone panicked but Paul reassured them.
The ship hit a sand barge and was split.
Miller injected that we all should ask ourselves “if we are doing something wrong and God does not take action against us, then we should check ourselves.”
All of the shipwrecked ones managed to get to shore. God provided a way for all to arrive safely.
After arriving on the island, the group was wet and cold.
Paul picked up some wood and was heading to the fire when a snake clutched his hand. He slung the snake .
The people on the island thought Paul was dying, but he did not.
“Guys, we have to stay ready,” remarked Miller. “There is power in the blood.” Paul said to be of good cheer.
“Who do you believe? I believe God,” stated Miller.
Miller did not know how long Paul and the group remained on the island. However, another ship came and picked up the 276 men. They all made it to Rome, Italy.
God said that it will rain on the just and the unjust.
Everyone enjoyed Miller’s message.
At the conclusion of the service, Brotherhood Director Joe Price requested that all present have special prayer for the Mount Calvary upcoming revival.
