Maurice Robinson Selected As DHS Teacher Of The Year

Mr. Maurice L. Robinson is the Dillon High School Teacher of the Year.

He is a native of Dillon, SC. He is a 1995 Graduate of Dillon High School.
After graduation, he attended Francis Marion University where he graduated in May of 2000 with a BS degree in Biology and Education.
In May of 2008 he received his Master’s Degree in Education from Lesley University.
His first teaching assignment was with Florence School District One at South Florence High School. He worked with FSD1 from 2000-2012.
He was also department chairman for 8 years while at South Florence High School.
In 2012 he began is teaching journey with Dillon School District Four at Dillon High School.
Throughout his teaching career, he has taught Biology 1 and 2 College Prep and Honors, Advanced Placement Biology, Physical Science, and Pathways to Success.
He currently lives in Florence, SC.
He has been a Biology Teacher for over 17 years and is currently employed by Dillon School District Four at Dillon High School as a Biology Teacher, Adult Education Teacher, and teaches at the Alternative School.
He served as the 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year for Dillon High School.
He is a member of the National Science Association and The South Carolina Education Association.
