On Saturday, September 8, 2018, a Dillon County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 301 in Dillon while responding to a call, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.. The deputy struck a utility and was uninjured. The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
