Normie Elizabeth Turbeville, 92, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at McLeod Medical Center.
Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at East Dillon Baptist Church with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation was 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Born in Shallotte, NC, October 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Brandford Rogers and Fronie Herring Rogers. She was a member of East Dillon Baptist Church, and was the widow of the late Earl Turbeville.
Survivors include her children, Bobby (Judy) Turbeville of Dillon, Jennie (David) Jacobs of DeLeon Springs, FL, Brenda (Tony) Jackson of Floyd Dale, Terry (Ginger) Turbeville of Castle Hayne, NC, Sharon (Steve) Sprouse of Hampstead, NC, Ronald Turbeville, and Yvonne Ramirez both of Dillon; brothers, Cecil Rogers of Dillon, Roy (Mary) Rogers of Caster, LA, Scott Rogers of Florida, Nancy Hare of North Carolina, and Nellie Bell of Fork; grandchildren, Bobby Lee Turbeville, Jody Jackson, Travis Holder (Mandy), David Jackson, Jr., Jennifer (Brian) Wilson, Wes Turbeville, Shelby Turbeville, and Yvelisse Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Caitlin, Anthony, Jalyn, Tyler, Mckenna, Justin, Luke, and Tucker; special friends, Lorene Hayes and Gloria Sawyer.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Thelma Herring and Carolyn Hunt; brothers, JB Rogers, Billy Rogers, and Fred Rogers; grandson, Jeffrey Turbeville; great-grandson, Bryson Wilson; and great-granddaughter, Pippa Lyanne Turbeville; special neighbor, Rachel Brooks.
